Based on 362 reviewsUn Sueño Cafe is consistently praised for its welcoming and homey atmosphere, where customers feel personally cared for by the sole operator who handles cooking, ordering, and serving. The food quality stands out for its fresh ingredients, tender meats, and generous portion sizes, often described as more than sufficient for sharing. Signature items like the Tripleta sandwich and pastelillos receive frequent acclaim for their bold, flavorful profiles and ample servings. While the overall seasoning occasionally receives minor suggestions for adjustment, the emphasis on scratch-made preparations and authentic taste remains a core strength. Affordability combined with attentive, friendly service contributes to a warm dining experience that resonates with both locals and visitors. Patrons regularly highlight the combination of large portions, culinary authenticity, and a familial vibe as reasons they are drawn back to this small but highly regarded establishment.
This was the best food, welcoming people that I’ve ever met. And the portions were enough for two!! My husband and I are foodies and damn we found a goldmine. The flavors were out of this world , the meat was so tender and fresh!! Don’t be intimidated to try this place!! Affordable and so amazing. We will be back for sure.
Omg this triplets Sandwich was one of the best I ever had !! So juicy, tender and flavorful. She was very sweet and loving and made me feel like home. This sandwich was huge !!!!!!! I ate half and took picture of the other half .
5 star, she's amazing, her food is delicious. The best pastelillos I ever had in my life. 5 star all day.
My husband and I found this place during a camping trip in Blue Spring State Park. We loved it here. The food was great, the portions were very big, and it felt like our family was cooking for us. There is just one lady cooking, taking orders and serving. She was absolutely adorable. Our ONLY things:1. Although the food was great, it could use a little more salt. She has salt shakers, so not a big deal because you can add to your liking.2. It was very quiet, some music would liven the place up a bit. We saw a tv that could be used for that but it was turned off.We would definitely recommend to people visiting the area, and will most likely return on our next trips!
I was just in town visiting or I would be back until I tried everything on the menu!I ordered the Tripleta sandwich and it was enormous for only 9. Really delicious. Especially the roast pork! Also ordered the Pernil & cheese Empanada and it was was large and stuffed to the gills with tender roast pork and cheese.Everything was clearly prepared fresh from scratch by the wonderful and accommodating owner.Don’t be afraid to try something new, especially if you live in the area! Incredible value and delicious food! And on top of that, it’s obvious that the whole operation is a labor of love and you can taste it in the food!
So my son and I are in town to pick up a car and I found this restaurant via a quick google search and knew I want to try the food. We walked in and was greeted. We sat down at a table. It took a few minutes but the waitress/chef came out and I ordered a coffee. It came with cream which was very yummy. Having never been here I just ask what she recommended and she suggested the sandwich which I got. To my surprise out comes a huge plate of food the we later found out was the Cubano sandwich. This was by far the best sandwich I have had in years. It is also huge so unless you come hungry enough to eat a horse. I would recommend sharing with his as we both are taking half our meal with us. I highly recommend this place. And if I am ever in the area again I will make a point to come here.
Currently visiting from Alabama and decided to stop here first thing in the morning after making it in late last night and it was the best decision! The owner is beyond sweet and caring and the food is SO good and presented with love. Whether you’re visiting or a local, this place should be on your list of go to restaurants. Would recommend 1000x times. :) if I have the opportunity to come back, I definitely will!
Incredible experience. We had the tripleta sandwich and roast pork with rice and beans, and could not have asked for better food and service. The prices also offer a crazy good bang for your buck. All the portion sizes were enough for at least two people. Coming from a hometown with many, many Hispanic and Latin American restaurants, we left VERY happy and full. Can’t wait to eat our leftovers and come back in the future!
